Mary Duncanson, who also writes as Mary Malcolm, lives in North Texas with a menagerie of animals and feral roommates. She is currently looking to adopt a husband, preferably housebroken, preferably as silly as her. Today we're here to learn a little more about Jax Flynn, the hero of my new book, Ruined. Jax was kind enough to answer a couple of questions. The cool thing about it though, is that he answered using songs.

Hey Jax! Tell us how you would describe yourself.

I'm a Monster. Plain and simple. I survive off the pain and misery of others. I live my life trapped in an Anger Cage.

Tell us about Sam. You guys have kind of an intense history, right?

We do. I made the decision to walk away from her once. To keep her safe. But now that I've come back… I'm not strong enough to turn away again. She doesn't make it any easier, either. I told her to stay away. I said, Save yourself. But, Sam is stubborn.

And what did she say to that?

*laughs* She just shrugged and said we always want what's bad for us. That we're Born to die.

If you could say anything to Sam, what would it be?

*thinks, then grins* You spin me around. She'd understand.
