Five years ago, twenty-three-year-old panther shifter Sera Czedar left her home and her newly mated groom in a humiliating position after a mating ceremony gone wrong. She built a new life for herself in Varselles, the City of Outcasts where shifters exiled from their clans in the Seven Kingdoms can go for sanctuary.
Five years ago, panther shifter Levian Grayson was abandoned on the bonding bed by his bride, Sera. After years of tracking her, he arrives in Varselles, intent on staking his claim on her once and for all, even if it means hauling her over his shoulder just to make sure that happens.
Sera has always known her homecoming would eventually catch up with her one day. The one thing she can’t bear to do is hurt Levian, which will happen as soon as he finds out the reason she left him. Is she ready to take that path? Most of all, will Levian still want her when the truth comes out?

My Review of
Homecoming is a prequel novella of sorts for the soon to be release Cloaked Devices series Cecilia Robert. After a plague wiped out most of the human population, the shifters combined their blood with the remaining humans to save them, and moved them to their home since Earth became uninhabitable. This novella story centers around Levian and Sera love story and history. Levian has been searching for Sera since she disappeared the night of their mating ceremony. Now five years later, Levian finds out where she has hidden herself away and is intent on bring her back home to be with him.

Sera after being on her own in a dangerous outcast city for five years has not only learn to protect herself, she has also become on the premiere fighters in the The Rings. Levian does not find the same meek girl who he married, but a beautiful woman who does not take crap from anyone. Sera hides a secret, the entire reason she left everyone she cares about behind and dashed off into the night.

While this story just gives a glimpse into this world, and the characters I really enjoyed it. I like the amount of backstory and character development that takes place in this short novella, without feeling like information overload. I know that I will be picking up Rise the first book in the Cloaked Devices series when it released later this year. I am looking forward to more of Sera and Levian story, and it sounds like the stakes are much higher in Rise.

Cover Reveal: Holding on Forever

Holding On Forever (Truly Madly #2)

Release Date: December 2013
Liese is finally moving on with Frey by her side. But sometimes letting go is the hardest part, and trusting is a risk one has to take. In between her practicum and spending time with Frey whenever he is town, she fights her insecurities, and wins. Then something happens and Frey's priorities momentarily shift, making her second guess their relationship. Suddenly, going back to their former best friends status has never looked so appealing.

Frey's life has never shined so bright now that Liese is his. But there is a part of him that is shrouded by memories he'd rather have them buried where no one can touch them.  Not even him. But even buried memories and people can't stay hidden for forever. What Liese doesn't know is that Frey isn't about to let go so easily, and he will throw in everything he's got to stop her from leaving him. He has waited an eternity for her. Giving her up is not an option.

When she's not working in her full time job, she dons her supermom cape, or in most cases find herself trapped between the pages of a book in search for a hero who'll make her swoon with just a look or a word. Her favourite form of therapy is knitting. Best. Therapy. Ever.

Cover Reveal: Reaper's Novice

I am happy to be participating in this wonderful cover reveal, hosted by AToMR Blog Tours. This cover reveal is for Reaper's Novice by Cecilia Robert, and it is expected to release December 5, 2012.
Cover design done by Renu Sharma

Seventeen- year- old Ana Maria Tei’s life has always been perfect: loving parents,  good grades, and a future so bright it outshone the sun. But now words like “separation” and “divorce” are sending her world plummeting to hell. Determined to keep her family intact, Ana plans a family-bonding trip from Vienna to Tuscany. Except fate has other plans. Ana’s parents and siblings are killed in a car accident on their way to pick Ana up from school.
Enter Grim, aka Ernest. He promises to relinquish the four souls if Ana agrees to trade her soul for theirs and serve a lifetime as his novice. In order for Ana to graduate from her Reaper’s Novice station to a Soul Collector graduate, Grim puts her to test. To her horror, she finds out becoming a Reaper’s Novice didn’t happen by chance.  It was preordained, and she is forced to make a choice:  save her family’s souls or come to terms with who she really is and complete the task set for her.

I like the spit between the two worlds on the cover and how she is standing between them. I also like the teal with the gold it works very well.

What do you think?
