Book Review: Search

About the Book
Search (The Empire Chronicles, #2)
Title: Search
Author: Alyssa Rose Ivy
Series: The Empire Chronicles #2
Publication Date: April 17, 2014
Genres: New Adult, Paranormal,
Casey isn't human. The revelation should terrify her, but it doesn't. Instead it excites her. Too bad not everyone is as excited as she is.
Torn between two lives, the only one she's ever known and her life as a paranormal princess, Casey has to decide whether she can trust the man she loves.
Sometimes being a princess isn't all it's cracked up to be.

My Review of Search
(**may contain spoilers from previous books**)
Search takes so many surprising turns, and Alyssa Rose Ivy really does not pull punches when it comes to keeping readers on their toes. Casey’s acceptance of her new found abilities and her new family is not something that comes easy. Casey is rather forced upon to come to New Orleans and accept her places as a Royal Pteron. While she wants to get to know her father’s family, she is also terrified which is completely normal.

Casey is insecure and uncomfortable around her new family at the beginning of Search. By the end, I think Casey has accepted her new life and her relationship with Toby. Although I was rooting for Jared to find a real relationship with someone, I think sweet Toby is a much better love interest. He does not seemed bother by politics and follows his heart.

A few twists and secrets revealed in Search that left my jaw hanging open. Then the cliffhanger at the end had me desperately craving the next book as soon as possible. I will have to say even though I absolutely loved Soar; Search is my favorite Empire Chronicles book yet. It may even be my favorite over the Crescent Chronicles too.

As I say every time I read another Alyssa Rose Ivy novel, Alyssa can do no wrong when it comes to telling a story. She always manages to make it addicting and unique. I cannot wait for Stay and see her work her magic again. If you haven’t read any of her Pteron novels, I have to say you are defiantly missing out.
