About the Book
Title: Elementals: The Prophecy of Shadows
Author: Michelle Madow
Series: The Elementals #1
Publication Date: January 26, 2016
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy,
Filled with magic, thrilling adventure, and sweet romance, Elementals: The Prophecy of Shadows is the first in a new series that fans of Percy Jackson and The Secret Circle will love!
When Nicole Cassidy moves from sunny Georgia to gloomy New England, the last thing she expects is to learn that her homeroom is a cover for a secret coven of witches. Even more surprisingly … she’s apparently a witch herself. Despite doubts about her newfound abilities, Nicole is welcomed into this ancient circle of witches and is bedazzled by their powers—and, to her dismay, by Blake—the school’s notorious bad-boy.
Girls who get close to Blake wind up hurt. His girlfriend Danielle will do anything to keep them away, even if she must resort to using dark magic. But the chemistry between Blake and Nicole is undeniable, and despite wanting to protect Nicole from Danielle’s wrath, he finds it impossible to keep his distance.
When the Olympian Comet shoots through the sky for the first time in three thousand years, Nicole, Blake, Danielle, and two others in their homeroom are gifted with mysterious powers. But the comet has another effect—it opens the portal to the prison world that has contained the Titans for centuries. After an ancient monster escapes and attacks Nicole and Blake, it’s up to them and the others to follow the clues from a cryptic prophecy so that they can save their town … and possibly the world.

My Review of The Elementals: The Book of Prophecy
Michelle Madow has really created something that every fantasy fan will enjoy. The comparisons to Percy Jackson and Secret Circle are extremely accurate. Greek Mythology plays a large part in the storyline for our group of “Elementals” as does the use of magic. Even though this book is only the start of the group’s epic quest, it was still packed with action.

The only problem I had with the story was the love interest between Blake and Nicole. I am just not sure how to feel about Blake and I distrust his intentions simply because he will not do the right thing by Nicole or Danielle in my honest opinion. I hope we get more of the story in the next installment, and maybe get a better feel for his character.

The group seems to bond together once they receive their abilities, and work together to follow a scavenger hunt of clues to prepare them for the journey ahead of them. While they do go up against a few big bads, I have a feeling that we are looking for bigger baddies next time around as their journey is only beginning. I really like Nicole and Kat the most and hope that their friendship continues as they work through whatever the world may throw at them.

I have been a fan of Michelle Madow’s since she first released her first novel, Remembrance.  I love that she branched out with a series based with a background in Greek Mythology. As Greek Mythology is a personal favorite of mine, and I hope it plays an even bigger part in Book 2, Elementals: The Blood of the Hydra.

Cover Reveal: The Blood of Hydra

Elementals: The Blood of the Hydra by Michelle Madow
Elementals #2
Expected Publication: April 18, 2016
Publisher: Dreamscape Publishing
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy
A DEMIGOD WHO CAN KILL WITH A TOUCH. IT’S AN ABILITY THAT MUST BE KEPT SECRET FROM EVERYONE, EVEN FROM THOSE TRUSTED MOST.
Finding out that her new school had her in a special homeroom for witches was strange enough, but now Nicole must face the realization that she has the rare power to kill with just a touch. It’s a secret she needs to keep not only from the Head Elders, but from the super-sexy witch Blake, who she’s had undeniable chemistry with even before he broke up with his long-term girlfriend, the vengeful witch Danielle.
Now Nicole and the four others gifted with powers over the elements, including Blake and Danielle, must stop a series of monsters that they previously believed to be dead from rising once again and destroying the mortal world. Three magical items are needed, including the blood of the slain hydra – ingredients that they must journey to the dangerous, mystical islands in Greece to retrieve.
The monsters they face on this journey will be more threatening than anything they’ve encountered yet. But with the fate of the world on their shoulders, it’s up to the Elementals to return home victorious. Will they find the ingredients they need? Can Nicole and her friends pull off this mission while the tension between her, Blake, and Danielle threatens to ruin everything? And how long will it be until Nicole is forced to use her ability to kill in front of everyone, revealing the true darkness of her powers?
Find out in The Blood of the Hydra, and join the Elementals on their next journey in their quest to save the world – or die trying.

 About the Author
Michelle Madow has always loved writing stories, but the possibility of being an author used to feel
more like a dream than a reality. She didn’t share her stories with anyone until her junior year of college, when she signed up for an Intro to Creative Writing course. Her teacher and classmates read the first chapter of a book idea she had, and they loved it so much that they told her she had to finish the book so they could find out what happened next. By the end of the school year, Michelle finished that book, which would later be published as her first novel, Remembrance.
Michelle grew up in Baltimore, and now lives in Boca Raton, Florida, where she writes books for young adults. Some of her favorite things are: reading, pizza, traveling, shopping, time travel, Broadway musicals, and spending time with friends and family. Michelle has toured across America to promote her books and to encourage high school students to embrace reading and writing. Someday, she hopes to travel the world for a year on a cruise ship.

Cover Reveal: Fire by Shauna Granger

I am excited to be participating in the Cover Reveal for Fire, the fourth book in the Elemental series, by Shauna Granger. This cover reveal is hosted by AToMR Tours.
Cover is designed by Mooney Designs.

ABOUT THE BOOK
Title: Fire (Elemental, #4)
Author: Shauna Granger
Expected Release: December 18, 2012
Age Group: Young Adult/New Adult
Genre: Urban fantasy

Demons, faeries, and mermaids. Claws, teeth, and nightmares.
They have been beaten and bruised, set on fire, and nearly drowned, but manage to always find their way home.  Over their last Winter Holiday break before college, Shayna, Jodi, and Steven try again to put aside the magic in their lives for a little mundane fun. But Shayna's mother is having dreams of fire and death. A mysterious stranger by the name of Liam has just arrived in town. And Shayna's attempts to manage her new angelic powers are set back by Steven's insistence that the trio intervene in a riot outside of a concert, with disastrous consequences.
In her attempt to stop the riot, a man sees Shayna use her magical abilities – a man driven mad by watching his brother die at the hands of a black witch. He stalks Shayna, plotting to destroy her and her friends. With her mother’s warnings echoing in her mind, Shayna is now in the fight of her life against an unlikely foe: a human man.

I love how the cover really captures the element of Fire, and how it is tented with orange to match the fire. Each of the Elemental book really capture the element their titles represent, and Fire is no exception. The cover is beautifully done.
