Feature and Follow Friday #10 and TGIF #3

FF 2012 Feature & Follow #80

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kick ass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?
I think the books I have to read have to have a intelligent, kick butt and take name heroine. I tend to read books with snarky, sarcastic female leads. When it comes to romance, I have to have a strong male lead to balance my strong female lead. You can have a girl who kicks butt, in love with a wimpy pushover. I would have to say my favorite pairings, for example, would be Rose and Dimitri from Vampire Academy, and Liz and Cam from Blood Bound.

TGIF is hosted by Ginger at Greads
The purpose is to answer the question for the week, and re-cap the weeks posts.
It is a great way to get to know other bloggers.

Q.  Book Appeal: When you're browsing goodreads, the library, or another blogger's reviews, what grabs your attention to make you want to read it?

I would have to say that the first thing that grabs me is of course the Cover. I know judging by the cover the ultimate book sin. I do read books where the cover didn't always grab my attention at first, but realistically when browsing it is always going to be the cover. I think I tend to favor covers with swirly sometimes smokey covers. I also like covers with dark deep colors contrasted with bright colors. Horriable explanation but I will post a few of my favorites below to show what I mean.
