BUY SHATTER ME:

Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting asThe Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel.

A Very Happy Release Day To Shatter Me
and Tahereh Mafi

My Review

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi is a uniquely written rollercoaster ride of superhero proportions.  Juliette is young girl who has been denied the most basic human need, touch, because her touch kills. Juliette is locked away, until the Reestablishment decided they have a better use for her talents. The Reestablishment is the government that took over after the planet started to change. Animals and plants died. This left a very massive food shortage throughout the entire world. This is when the Reestablishment decided to take over, and purge everything about the old world.

Shatter Me is told from inside Juliette’s mind, and it gives the book a completely unique voice. I loved the way this book is written, it is so unique and intriguing to read. Human beings have rejected Juliette for her whole life, including her own parents. She has been told her whole life; she is nothing but a monster and a freak. Warner wants to use her powers to torture those who stand against him and the Reestablishment. Warner is a sick, sociopath who wants nothing but to inflict pain on others.

Juliette learns to stand up on her own, and for her beliefs. Others treat her like scum, yet she still has compassion. That is an amazing quality to have, when the enemy is willing to make your dreams come true. Adam helps Juliette realize that she is not a lost cause, and that at least one person on this planet cares for her. I really love Adam and the way he supports Juliette. He is also extremely hot, which helps a lot. Yes, when it comes to fictional character, I become extremely superficial! Shatter Me is something I think every dystopia or paranormal romance fan has to read.

Shatter Me is just one of the novels that I read expecting to enjoy it, and it completely changes your perspective on the art of writing. I cannot express how much I love the style of Tahereh Mafi, because it is not something I have ever come across. I am more than excited for the sequel, and I am glad this book hits bookshelves today! I wanted everyone one to try this book and I truly hope they enjoy it as much as I did.

Hey girl! I totally agree w/you about this book! The story is gripping & I've never come across a book written like it. I do have to say, that I agree that Warren is awful, but I think there may be more to the story. We'll see, won't we? But I am totally team Adam all the way!
Great review!
