MY REVIEW
Foretold is a book of short stories focusing on prophecy and fate, written by popular young adult authors. The thing I loved the most was that the stories were so different. It was great to change it up from story to story. I will admit I did not like every story, but with 14 to choose from everyone will find something they like, and probably some stories they do not.

Out of all the stories, Homecoming by Richelle Mead is my favorite. It is a short story set in the Vampire Academy Universe. It takes place after Last Sacrifice. It does have a few spoilers for those who have not finished the series. Rose and Dimitri take a trip to Dimitri’s home in Siberia. While there, they are asked to hunt down a deadly Strigo. I really loved seeing Rose and Dimitri together away from their Guardian duties.

Some of the other ones I liked included Out of the Blue by Meg Cabot, and Gentlemen Send Phantoms by Laini Taylor. There are many great stories in this collection. It is a perfect read to pick up while have a few minutes to spare, because each story is a quick read.  I have not read an anthology before, but I think that I may start picking them up more often when I am looking for a change of pace or just a quick read here and there.

Foretold is a great way to get introduced to new author, and get a feeling for their writing style. I know that there are some authors I found in Foretold, that I will be reading again in the future. While the major pull for this anthology at least for me is the Vampire Academy story, there is a lot to more to discover in Foretold.
