Piracy SUCKS! and Giveaway

I have been reading posts through the day, after hearing about both Cydni Tefft, author of Between, and Angeline Kace, author of Descended by Blood, suffering from the evil doings of the dastardly book pirates. While that sounds like a great adventure novel, it is not anywhere close. These pirates are hurting authors by stealing their works. To top that off one of my fellow book bloggers, Jaime from Two Chicks On Books was also affected by these pirates. These evil pirates sold her reviews and used them to recommend the pirated copies of Cyndi's book. This is just despicable and disturbing to me as a fellow book blogger. I am upset about the circumstances, because both Cyndi and Angeline are wonderful, awesome people and I know this is frustrating for both of them.

The saddest part about this is both books cost $ 0.99!!! I cannot even buy something to drink at my local gas station for that cheap. If you cannot afford .99, then you cannot afford to have the internet connection you are using to steal the book.

This is not the first time piracy has been brought up and I know it will not be the last. As a person who has a passion for reading, and the effort it takes to write a novel. These novels sometimes take YEARS to write, and the joy of that accomplishment can be taken away in a few minutes. I believe it is my duty as a book blogger, and someone who admires both Cyndi and Angeline to spread to the word on Piracy. Just a little while back author Jennifer Armentrout posted about her book Half-Blood being pirated BEFORE it was even officially released. These pirates used an E-ARC to pirate her work. That means her publisher trusted them enough to send them an E-ARC. This is damaging to the publisher, agent, and author, but it  is also damaging to all the good reviewers out there. If it continues to happen, publishers will stop send out advanced copies to reviewers like book bloggers.
